Abra del Acaya - La Poma
Home / Commitment / Next challenge

Our next challenge is to finance a new organic vegetable garden in a school in the Misiones jungle, that will be in charge of the community.

We already have the authorization from the Chief of the Guarani community and Huerta Niño Foundation has accepted to be in charge of the project considering that it is feasible, after having evaluated the school and the community involved.

We will set out to raise the approx. $16.000 (argentine pesos) that are necessary to carry it out.

This one-year project’s aim is to establish a self-sustaining vegetable garden, hoping to improve the diet of the 150 students who attend classes at the school. A better nutrition is one aspect that will help them to obtain better results in their studies, a way of opening the door for better possibilities in their futures.
