What is the best season to visit Argentina?

Due to the fact that Argentina covers over approx. 3694 km from North to South and has more than 1000 km from East to West it presents geographic and climatic characteristics that greatly differ from one region to the other. This is why every season is good to visit our country.

In a 15 days trip, what would be an examble of the perfect itinerary?
This depends on the preferences of the passengers and the type of trip they are planning, taking into account the season and the wide variety of destinies and climates.

Which one is the best beach in Argentina?

Argentina cannot be identified as a beach destiny, since there are countries which offer much better options.
The aspects which define Argentina as a travel destination are the variety of ecosystems, its history, its people.
However, sea lovers can enjoy the strength of Patagonic Atlantic Coast, characterized by its deep blue sea and wild coasts.

Is it a good destination for birdwatching?

Argentina has very interesting ecosystems for “bird lovers”, ideal for the discovery of endemic birds in their natural environment. Ibera Marshlands, the jungle, Patagonic Atlantic Coast and the Andes Mountain Range complement each other perfectly making it possible to observe more than 300 species during the same trip.


Who welcomes passengers and delivers the trip documentation?

Upon arrival at Argentina passengers will receive an envelope with all the information regarding their trip: A day by day itinerary, vouchers for hotels & services, a list of local contacts, pre-departure information on the places you visit, etc.
Before departing to Argentina, your travel agency will also handle a list of recommendations about our country you might find usefull and the list of the telephone numbers of each hotel you will be staying in.

Do quotes have any cost?

The first quote is for free.
Changes after the first quote and before confirmation of the trip are u$s 100. If the trip is confirmed, this money will be considered as part of the payment.
A u$s 50 amendment fee will be charged after the second change in a confirmed booking plus any other charges from our agents

Which is the cancellation policy?

In case of cancellation of the trip, the cost will be the following:

- 30 days prior departure: 10% penalty charge + any costs from our agents.
- 29 to 15 days prior departure: 20% penalty charge + any costs from our agents.
- Less than 15 days prior departure: 30% penalty charge + any costs from our agents.
- 48 hours prior departure: 100% penalty charge + any costs from our agents.
To avoid cancellation penalties, we strongly encourage you to purchase trip cancellation insurance.

Which is the Argentinian currency and where can I exchange money?

The Argentinian currency is the peso ($).
There are 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 pesos bills; and 5, 10, 25, 50 and 1 peso coins.
American Dollars are widely accepted.
Upon arrival at Ezeiza International Airport, we recommend to exchange money in Banco Nación. Other places offer exchange rates that are not always convenient. Banco Nación in Ezeiza is located in Terminal A (Aerolíneas Argentinas) after collecting your luggage, to the right of Customs. In Terminal B, after leaving Customs behind.
Once in the city, should you need to change dollars/euros into pesos we suggest you do it at Banks, Exchange Bureaus or at your hotel. Do not exchange any money to people on the streets, as it is illegal. Please remember you will be required to show your passport.

Where can I call out of office hours in case of doubts or unexpected events?

What documentation do I need to enter Argentina?

To enter the country, you need valid Passport, with or without Visa depending on your nationality. Inquire at the closest Embassy or Consulate.

We suggest you to make copies of all your important documents (visa, passport, credit cards, air tickets). Replacement will be easier in case they get lost or stolen. For this same reason, we suggest leaving your values at hotel’s safe box & mind your wallet and cameras while on the street.

What is the electricity used in Argentina?

220 volt, 50-cycle alternating current.

What is the luggage policy in flights?

International Flights: In general, airlines allow to carry aprox. 20 Kg. Some of them also limit the amount of pieces. Check luggage policies with the Airline.

Domestic flights: carrying up to 15 Kg. is allowed. If you have arrived at Argentina with Aerolineas Argentinas, you will be able to carry up to 20 Kg. It is important to know that the cost for each additional kg. varies between 1 and 2 dollars per kg, depending on the destinations and companies.

What is the time zone in Argentina?

During summer the east part of the country (Buenos Aires & Mesopotamia) is in time zone -2 and will return to time zone -3 in fall. The provinces located in the west (Northwest, Mendoza, Patagonia), stay in time zone -3.
This means that these provinces are one hour behind Buenos Aires. E.g.: If in El Calafate it is 03.00 pm, in Buenos Aires it is 04.00 pm.

Are there any vaccinations required to visit Argentina?

At present, no vaccine or medical tests are required to enter Argentina.
Important: Some cases of yellow fever have been detected in Iguazú area since march 2008. As a precaution measure, we recommend to get vaccinated. This vaccine can be applied to everyone between 1 and 60 years old, except during pregnancy. Older than 60 should contact personal doctor.
